About
About Quest Labs
Quest Labs emerged from a few simple questions: What’s it like to learn in these times of change? What do we need to un°learn to meet this moment?
Our founder, Makēda Gershenson, dreamed of this space to tend to the lived experience of students in real time — using futures thinking, community coaching, and embodied reflection as tools for transformation.
Foresight combines with heart
- Me°Search — explore your own patterns and purpose.
- We°Search — discover collective intelligence through shared insight.
- Re°Search — reimagine how learning systems might evolve next.
This project is both research and ritual. Each reflection becomes part of a growing archive of futures literacies in motion.
The Research Project & Research Framework

Independent, participatory, and playful
Quest Labs is an ongoing real-time Delphi engaging over 60 international students in exploring what it means to be a student now.
Through short, reflective check-ins, exploratory sandbox sessions, and creative data visualization, participants generate live insights into how identities, un°learning, and technology are shifting.
No hierarchy of traditional metrics. No need to chase consensus. The hope is to trace emergence and make space for what’s coming.
Each contribution helps build a shared map of student experience across cultures and time zones.
For Students

We start where we are to get where we’re going.
The movements are growing. Quest Labs was built for curious minds and tender hearts navigating uncertainty.
Here, you’ll find space, tools and practices to watch your evolution, express insights, and find parts of yourself as part of something bigger.
What you’ll get:
A reflective space to connect with other students globally
A growing language for your lived experience
A community that values the process as much as the product
Your participation is info for the collective and but it’s also an art of making meaning day to day.
For Educators and Researchers

Inquiry, not instruction.
We collaborate with teachers, administrators, and scholars curious about futures literacies, healing-centered education, and participatory design.
Ways to connect:
Co-facilitate a Sandbox Session with your students. Share what you all find!
Contribute to the real-time Delphi dataset.
Explore collaborative publication or pilot programs.
This approach seeks rigor through relevance, data that breathes and heals, stories that expand possibilities, and learning that evolves.
